Apply a function on all experiments in an MAE.
Usage
# S4 method for class 'MultiAssayExperiment'
lapply(X, FUN, safe = TRUE, ...)
Arguments
- X
(MultiAssayExperiment
)
input.
- FUN
(function
) to be applied to each experiment in X
.
- safe
(flag
)
whether this method should skip experiments
where the function fails.
- ...
additional arguments passed to FUN
.
Value
MultiAssayExperiment
object with specified function applied.
Examples
object <- multi_assay_experiment
result <- lapply(object, normalize, safe = TRUE)
#> -- note: fitType='parametric', but the dispersion trend was not well captured by the
#> function: y = a/x + b, and a local regression fit was automatically substituted.
#> specify fitType='local' or 'mean' to avoid this message next time.
#> -- note: fitType='parametric', but the dispersion trend was not well captured by the
#> function: y = a/x + b, and a local regression fit was automatically substituted.
#> specify fitType='local' or 'mean' to avoid this message next time.
#> -- note: fitType='parametric', but the dispersion trend was not well captured by the
#> function: y = a/x + b, and a local regression fit was automatically substituted.

# Similarly, all experiments in an MAE can be converted to HermesData class:
result <- lapply(object, HermesData, safe = TRUE)
